About
On Dec. 15, 2020, a group of 26 newly elected GOP members of Congress signed a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) demanding an investigation into baseless claims of widespread voter fraud.
The representatives-elect who signed the letter claimed to have “verified” reports of fraudulent mail-in ballots, missing voting machine equipment, and improper restrictions on poll observers. Among the signatories were prominent right-wing firebrands Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), and Ronny Jackson (R-Texas). Similar to a Jan. 5, 2021 letter to Pelosi and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), the Dec. 15 letter conveyed unfounded allegations of widespread voter fraud.
