America First Works

About

America First Works is a 501(c)4 nonprofit initially founded as America First Policies shortly after Trump’s inauguration in 2017. Former Trump aide Brad Parscale, his digital and data director, described the organization as “part of a grassroots group to go out there and help with the agenda, help the White House to be successful.”

Other early Trump advisors David Bossie, who served as deputy campaign manager in 2016, and Katrina Pierson, a senior advisor on the campaign communications team, were also involved in the organization’s efforts to support Trump’s agenda. In 2021, the dark money group officially changed its name to America First Works after Trump lost his 2020 bid for reelection. In 2022, it merged with the think tank America First Policy Institute, which is led in part by former Trump economic advisor Larry Kudlow and former Small Business Administration chief Linda McMahon.

America First is connected to the pro-Trump super PAC America First Action, which spent nearly $134 million during the 2020 election cycle.
