A group of Trump supporters protested in front of the California state capitol in Sacramento on Jan. 6, 2021. Many chanted, “Stop the steal!” 11 people were arrested for possessing pepper spray, and some 200 police officers were deployed for crowd control. There were some fights between Trump supporters and counter protesters.
Los Angeles was the site of another demonstration that day, and a Black woman was beaten with a flag pole.
