Dominion Voting Systems

Once Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, Dominion became the target of baseless allegations of fraud—charges that it has repeatedly repudiated and challenged in court ever since. In 2023, Fox News paid $787 million to Dominion to settle the defamation lawsuit brought against it, and cases are still pending against other right-wing news outlets such as Newsmax and One American News Network.

Michael Flynn is a retired lieutenant general, right-wing political advisor, and key Trump ally who promoted ideas about declaring martial law and using military intervention to keep the ex-president in the White House after the 2020 election had been called for Biden.

Fox News is a highly influential conservative cable news channel founded and owned by Rupert Murdoch. Widely considered a quasi-arm of the Republican Party, it is the most prominent and far-reaching mainstream media platform for disseminating right-wing viewpoints. Many critics consider Fox News as having been critical to Trump’s political rise and win of the presidency in 2016.

Newsmax Media is a right-wing news network founded in 1998 by former New York Post reporter Christopher Ruddy. Once Fox News pulled back from its boundless applause of Trump after the 2020 election, Newsmax became his preferred news source—and “the Trumpiest channel on TV.”
