Shortly after the mob stormed the Capitol in Washington, a group of Trump supporters — including armed militia members with long guns — gathered in front of Nevada’s statehouse in Carson City to protest President Biden’s electoral victory. One participant carried a sign saying, “We are the new Republican party.” Others held signs reading STOP THE STEAL and VOTER FRAUD IS TREASON.
Although the rally was reportedly peaceful, conservative radio host Monica Jaye elicited loud boos when she proclaimed: “The man that we elected to support our president as vice president has given up on this country and given up on you and me. Vice President Pence is a traitor to this country.”
