About

Ron Wright was a U.S. congressman serving from 2019-2021, representing Texas’s 6th congressional district. Wright died of Covid-19 complications in February, 2021. While in office, he joined Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. 

January 6, 2021

  • On Jan. 6, following the storming of the capitol, Wright objected to the election certification along with 146 other Republicans in Congress. 

The Big Lie

  • On Dec. 10, 2020, Wright signed the Texas amicus brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the results of the election in four swing states: Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
