DonorsTrust

DonorsTrust is a 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 1999 by Whitney Ball, a libertarian who had held key roles at the Cato Institute and the Philanthropy Roundtable, as well as being a board member of the State Policy Network (SPN). Mother Jones calls DonorsTrust the “dark-money ATM of the conservative movement” since it was set up explicitly to allow investors to bankroll institutions and activities while obscuring their own identities.

Kesler, Charles R.

Charles Kesler is a senior fellow of the Claremont Institute and a professor of government at Claremont McKenna College in California. He participated in Trump’s 1776 Commission, which issued a report attacking liberal thought and pushing for more “patriotic education” in America that glosses over the role of slavery in the country’s history.
