America First Works

America First Works is a nonprofit founded shortly after Trump’s inauguration in 2017 to help support his priorities. Attack on the Capitol

The attack began around 2 pm on Jan. 6, 2021, shortly after Trump finished speaking at the March to Save America rally, where he urged his supporters to proceed to the Capitol and “fight like hell” to stop the certification of the Electoral College results underway in a joint session of Congress.

Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has represented Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2021, when Trump’s endorsement helped her become the first woman to win in the Republican-leaning district. An extremist who supports QAnon and works to stand out as a firebrand, she was reelected in 2022 in a race that was so close it triggered an automatic recount.
